Moving in the right direction (east)

Well, things are moving… We have a house YAY!!! We are assuming possession two months before we arrive, something we really wanted to avoid, but ended up deciding that peace of mind goes quite a long way. The pressure was just too much. The girls also needed to know what was happening, eager as they are (or at least some of them) for the move, I sensed anxiety levels rising.

So, as a result I will be leaving on Wednesday, May 24th to go and get the house semi organized. There is no furniture, but it is equipped with electrical appliances (not common for rentals in Israel), One less thing to worry about. I will be gone for a week (back on the 31st). I finish work on May 23rd, so it will be a bit hectic, but I plan to pack in advance. Especially since I will be leaving whatever I take back there.

My students wanted to hold an Alex’s Lemonade stand, we were aiming for national lemonade stand weekend, June 9-11 it worked out well as many will be leaving for sleep away camp the following week. Now, with my trip, I hope we can get everything together… I would really like to do this with me, I think it is an amazing end of the year event not to mention how caring they have been throughout the year of both Michael and Christi (an amazing girl on the list serve also fighting Neuroblastoma).

I need to post some pictures, many of you don’t even know what the girls look like (smile) I am happy to have started this site. I hope the girls will use it in the future to update about how they are doing with their new lives.

That’s it for now.

Happy Mother’s Day to all

Love,

Ronit

The Gliksman Family

Well pretty embaressing... I couldn't remember how to update :-( So there I was wanting to share but no able... Hope I've finally got it.

This will be a test run, if it proves effective I will update more soon. Just to let you know, It seems we found a house (YAY) we will start paying rent next week (bummer) but decided the peace of mind was worth the extra rent. We should be receiving the contract tomorrow and then be able to breath a bit easier. Assuming all goes well, I will be leaving for Israel for about a week on the 24th, to get things abit organized. The girls and I will say our final good byes to Highland Park in Mid July ( can you believe I haven't ordered tickets yet?!!!) well, just incase I am doing this all wrong... More soon.

Love to all,
Ronti
